Sample Wedding Cake

So here is my first wedding cake!

First I had the cake covered in icing.
But I didn't like the lines that my palette knife was making, so I decided to change the icing.
Now it looks creamier and more like molten white chocolate.

Can you see the small silver beads beneath the whip cream?
Yeah, those little guys took FOREVER lining up.
But then, when the acutal cake was finished, it's barely noticable...

And I LOVE my little whip cream nozzles that I made a few days back.
They are 1/12 in size of regular nozzles, so I can whip out miniature-sized cream*

Here is the finished wedding cake!!!
The roses took a while to make, but I had fun decorating the cake with'em.
The best (easiest) part was glueing the rhinestones and pearls.

Different angle:

Eventually, this piece will turn out to become a ring/jewelry holder.

Chocolate Mirror

Chocolate Mirror with a sundae on top!
The mirror come with a comb inside.
This is what it looks like, folded.

My 2year old and 9month old rading my workspace...
It happens at least 4 times a day.
They get together and dig through everything, and then a few minutes later, I see tools and clay, etc. flying across the room.
Sometimes I think it's impossible to work while they're messing things up, but then once in a while they remind me why I'm doing what I'm doing...
Well, at least the 2year old does:)
Below are two pieces that she decorated herself.
She'll just sit beside me and start putting parts together, in complete SILENCE.
A moment of peace:)
The fruit tart was her first piece.
I filled the tart with custard, and then she did the rest.
You can't see it in the picture, but I then attached an elastic hair band so she could wear it.
The strawberry mousse cake is her second piece that she made just yesterday.
She decorated the toppings while the 9month old threw a fit.

Strawberry/Chocolate-Chocolates Strap

Yay! I received my cello bags and business cards (FINALLY!!) and was able to package my first item!!

Here is my version of a smores cell phone strap.
I noticed after uploading this pix, that the marshmallow on a stick wasn't facing the right direction.
It's kind of hard to see, but along with the smores charm is a marshmallow charm.

Freshly Baked Cookies

I made about 20 heart/star-shaped cookies and painted them.
They're stamped "Summergerine."

...and then made a few hair accessories out of them.
My sister (11) helped in making the charms:)
And then my 9month-old came along and tried to eat the cookies...
I had to throw out 2 of them.

Sliced Cake

The cakes I've made the other day have been sliced...
It's kind of sad that I had to cut them up, but I guess these are nice too*
