I have not been able to make anything for the past 2 months and am dying to create something!!!
For those of you who have added my blog or fanned my facebook or etsy page, thank you very much and I am sorry for the delayed notice.

A friend of mine has recently asked me to make him anythin chicken and that got me really motivated, but I am in a very difficult situation right now...
I have this great idea in mind but cannot create it, which really hurts.
I guess I have to be doing some sort of creating in my life to feel like I'm really living :)

I will get back to work as soon as possible, so please don't forget Summergerine <3

Halloween is around the corner... Really?!

Getting ready for Halloween.
I guess it's a late start in the artsy world.
But its so hard to get started since its still summery hot in Texas!!!
The pools are literally boiling, it's like a hot tub!
I took my lil sister and my kids to the pool around 3pm to cool off, but returned in a hour b/c we were heat struck and dehidrating.

So anywayz... I'm making candy corns thinking of Halloween and trick-o-treating and all.
Did I already mention how much I hate GRAVITY???
When I'm making these little clay parts, and when you don't have finger prints like me, everything just tends to fall.
and then I'd have to stop what I'm doing and pick it up, like every two seconds!
It gets annoying.
Yeah, I'm missing a finger print on my thumb today:(
Me and my skin allergy to clay (and everything else).

I got my fingerprints taken a while ago, and the officer taking them thought she was doing them wrong or something.
And then looked at my hand and was like, "oh..." after noticing I didn't carry a set of fingerprints to print. lol
So yeah, it's very hard to work b/c without a grip on the finger pads, things just fall.
I broke a glass the other day b/c the cup just slipped outta my hands.

The heat, gravity, and my un-useful hands are making the situation terrible...
so getting ready for Halloween is gonna take a few days :P

V's Contact Lens Case

This is the contact lens case that V asked me to make.
I was thinking of decorating contact lens cases, but just the little L and R cases, not something like this.
I mean, have you ever seen like a whole contact lens travel set or something?!
This set comes w/ tweezers and a little eye dropper tool and this something else that I have no clue what it is...
First of all, I don't wear lenses.
So I was clueless w/ all these tools.
Anyhow, I thought about decorating just the lens case, but then decided not to b/c you don't wanna get up every morning having to deal w/ twisting something that's hard to twist b/c of decorations.
Until V showed me a picture of what her lens set looked like and was like, oh---- I can decorate the square case itself instead of the contact lens case.
I'm probably getting some readers confused by saying "case" too many time.
But you'll see what I'm talking about when you see the photo of the actual item below.

THIS!!!(below)
Yeah neat huh?
It's like a contact lens travel tool kit or something.
Loaded w/ stuff!
I always thought the case just consisted of this L&R thing, whatever it's called.
But I was so wrong:)
Now, there's something to decorate!!!

Candy Shop

Here is the 2nd of the "Shop" Series: Candy Shop.
All the colorful candies and goodies that I love to pick out*

And I love how the M&M's turned out!
Broken in half, or bitten, whatever you wanna call it.

Today I worked on the 2nd of the "Shop" series, "Candy Shop."
...and at the same time, I had a request from Vxxxxxx to decorate a contact lens case.
They are both finished, but it's too late (and dark) to shoot photos, so that'd be the first thing I'd be working on tomorrow.

It's currently 12am and my kids (1 yr. old and 2 yr. old) are still awake...
PLEEEEAAASE SLEEEEEP!!!
I'd put the younger one to sleep around 9pm, but she'll always wake up around 11pm again with all the energy she just stored from her sleep, and they'll both bother me until 1am....
Still trying to figure out my work hours...
My kids are waaay too energetic!!!

"Never Be Late For Dessert" Alarm Clock

Simple alarm clock decorated with a whole new look!
Whip cream and a lot of sweets.
It looks really cute as a room decoration too.

Ice Cream Shop Photo Frame

This is what I have been working on for the past few days!!!
LOVE IT! I don't wanna give it up!
(Hopefully someone would want it as bad as I do)
This is one of my most favorite pieces I've made recently.

Jelly beans~
Pastel colors make it the more delicious*

3 different types of ice cream sandwich: vanilla, cookies 'n cream, and chocolate w/ chocolate chunk.

3 Scoops of Ice cream: strawberry, mango, and my all time favorite, mint chocolate chip!

...and last but not least, whip cream w/ fresh fruits!

Cafe Kubo's

YEAHHH!!
Good News to me:)
I get to place my items @ Cafe Kubo's starting, well whenever I'm ready!!!
Unfortunately, the sushi platter with the restaurant logo cannot be sold, so it is for viewing purposes only, but the other sushi dishes should work just fine.
So now my plans are...
1. make a poster
2. make business cards
3. make stuff, obviously
4. buy a show case w/ keys
And I should be good to go!

Sushi

So this is what I've been doing the past few days... SUSHI!
I've been making plates, leaves, ginger and wasabi, 11 different types of fish, a roll, shiso leaves, and daikon (radish) garnish.
WOW it took forever! But WOW I love it!!!
It's so tiny too:)

This is the first one I made:
tako (octopus), ika (squid), sake (fresh salmon), unagi (eel), ikura (salmon roe).

2nd piece:
Sushi & Sashimi Combination
Octopus sashimi and cut of tamago (egg), hirame (flounder), tai (red snapper), sake (fresh salmon), maguro (tuna), eel (unagi), and a tekka (tuna roll).

Here is the back side of it, where you can see the daikon garnish.

3rd piece:
Sushi served in a fusion-style restaurant.
Sake, hirame, maguro, tai, unagi, ika, tamago, ikura, and tako.
I guess those years spent working at sushi restaurants weren't all meaningless.
It was actually helpful when having to think of presentation.

Made exclusively for Cafe Kubo's.
Their "Nigiri Combo B".
I had fun designing this plate with their logo on it.
The set includes:
maguro, sake, ika, unagi, shiro maguro (white tuna), and 8 pieces of tuna roll.
What happened to the 8th piece?
I hadn't taken pix of it yet, but it's on a soy dish w/ chopstix grabbing at it.

Yeah, it's miniature.
The actual pieces look much better than it does in photos.
These photos were taken without much thought.
Just snapped a few for the blog.

Making sushi parts is a .... bummer

I might be able to place my items at this one sushi restaurant.
So I'm getting ready by making sushi, MINI sushi, parts.
Making these minis is very exhausting!!!
I have to be very very patient.

Here I started making ikura parts (salmon roe).
But then I got tired of just rolling small balls.
So I started making popcorn, sugar cookies w/ icing, and a pizza!

And then I was like, "OK! Have to get back on track!"
...so today, after making some tai (red snapper) and hirame (flounder), I started to make some gari (ginger).
And got tired again:)
so I'm taking a break by updating my blog.

It's really bad lately.
My very little workspace I have also has my laptop on it.
And I so want to surf the web or just do something w/ on my computer.
And once I start, it'll be at least an hour before I notice that an hour has passed.
So yesterday, I actually turned the PC off for once!
...but then I so wanted to check my email that I walked over to the next room and used the computer there :P
I really didn't see the point of me turning off my PC, so yay, it's back ON again!

Rose Earrings

Hooray!
Finally a piece of jewelry on my etsy page.
I always wanted to make jewelry, but got so caught up in making mini clay parts, I almost sorta forgot...
So here it is :)

I wanted to make real girly earrings.
And when I think girly and cute, its PINK.

Next set is gonna be more... sophisticated. (hopefully)
Just wish I knew how to take pictures!
I placed these earrings in different settings, but none of them look quite right.

I liked this tinkerbell mug background, but still, something's not right...

Oreo

My 11 yr. old sister had a guinea pig named Oreo that died today.
We were all shocked when we found him still but alive outside.
Oreo's hair around his bottom had all fallen out and the pink flesh was showing.
And there were bugs going for it...
First we thought that it was an animal attack, but according to the vet, he was just old, and the whole hair falling off thing was due to the rain and old-age.

So anyhow, my sister was crying when she got home b/c she had to put him to sleep.

Oh, and she named him Oreo b/c he was all white except for one black blob of hair around his eyes.
So this is what I did today.
I made a pendant for her to wear in memory of Oreo.
I attached parts of a feather, and instead of a halo, an oreo cookie.
It's hard to tell from the picture, but the cookie has all the details of an oreo:)

RIP Oreo.

Eco Chopstix in a Bling Case

Blue Chopstix in a blue-bling case with roses and ribbons.
Carry these chopsticks to your next sushi outing and go green :)
You assemble these little guys everytime you eat so whenever you're not using them, it fits neatly in the case.
The case is fitted with rhinestones and pearls.

I don't like how the pictures turned out...
It makes it look like one single blue.

Straberry Macaron DS Game Carry

I love this game carrying case!
It's topped with macarons, strawberry icecream, cookies 'n cream, fresh strawberries, and a cookie.
But I guess you have to be DSing to want this :)

I'm gonna be making a DS cover after this...
just have to get some sketches going.

PINK PINK PINK!

Bic Pencils

I had a lot of fun decorating 8 Bic brand mechanical pencils!
Here are a few:
